WVU Parkersburg is a Community and Technical College located in Parkersburg, WV, with a branch in Ripley, WV, and soon to be Vienna, WV (We are not a branch of West Virginia University). This position may require work at our Main Campus in Parkersburg, WV, or at one of our branch locations in Vienna, WV, or Ripley, WV.

Function/Summary
The Agrication Coordinator is responsible for facilitating hands-on training sessions for students participating in the F2S Agrication program, guiding them through practical farm activities such as planting, harvesting, and soil management. This role also includes recruiting students, building partnerships with local organizations, and providing ongoing support through F2S aggregation, distribution, and related initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Agriculture Certification specific to crop production, livestock production, or land development (preferred)
- Trade skills in welding, carpentry, or equipment operator (preferred)
Experience:
- Working with students or youth in an educational or agricultural setting
- Farm operations & management
- Team leadership
- Teaching experience
Licensure:
- Motor vehicle operator’s license
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to facilitate hands-on training sessions and guide students through farm activities.
- Networking and recruitment skills to engage schools, students, teachers, etc.
- Organizational skills to assist with F2S Aggregation, distribution, and related activities.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Duties/Responsibilities
Program Facilitation (40%)
- Plan and organize instructional activities
- Demonstrate proper techniques in planting, harvesting, and soil management
- Ensure student safety and well-being during farm activities
- Facilitate hands-on training for students participating in the F2S Agrication program
Program Development and Enrollment (35%)
- Recruit students through local FFA chapters, 4-H clubs, high schools, and recruitment events
- Advise students on registration and enrollment processes
- Promote the program and engage with students and producers through social media collaborations.
- Maintain records of program participants and attendance
- Compile data to inform and enhance future programs
Farm Operations (15%)
- Coordinate with the Farm Manager to support various tasks and needs at The Riverhawk Farm
- Operate equipment used for training and instruction
- Assist with F2S aggregation, distribution, and related activities
General (10%)
- Perform other duties as assigned
