The Student Recreation Center at Vincennes University is seeking applicants for Shift Leads. Positions to be filled are part-time, day, evening, and weekend shifts. The Shift Lead must be a self-motivated, flexible and dedicated professional who can assist in establishing a community environment to student learning, development, and retention. The Shift Lead must possess a student-centered attitude to be an effective and positive influence in the
Student Recreation Center at Vincennes University.
Duties and Responsibilities
The shift lead must consistently perform the following duties:
- Possess ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Cover desk areas when short-handed
- Display willingness and ability to deliver services promptly, courteously and professionally
- Ability to prioritize work assignments
- Work with minimum supervision
- Answer the telephone
- Possess ability to work with college age students
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Answer questions concerning Vincennes University and current activities
- Be flexible to meet departmental needs
GENERAL HOURS:
56 hours – bi-weekly (28/week)
Mornings – 6:30 am – 12:30 pm
Afternoons – 12 noon – 6 pm
Evenings – 5 pm – close
Weekends – Alternating Weekends
?The hours will vary based on activities, and other events.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
- To perform the job successfully an individual must be 18 years of age or older.
- Computer Usage
- Maintenance Knowledge
- Knowledge of Sports equipment – preferred, but not required
- High School diploma or GED – required
- Associates/Bachelor’s degree– preferred
