Job Description:

Supervisor: Director of Enrollment Services

Status: Full Time, Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 5:00 pm

Standard Hours: Full Time, evenings and weekends as necessary

Job Location: Hybrid/Remote

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Director of Enrollment Services, the Admissions Counselor is responsible for the recruitment and enrollment of qualified graduate students for all assigned programs. This role represents Bay Path University to prospective students and organizations and works to increase inquiries and convert applications into enrolled students. A successful Counselor exhibits superior customer service skills and professionalism throughout daily interactions and communications with students including phone calls, emails, information sessions, and other events, both virtual and in person. This position also creates and implements recruitment strategies to reach prospective students through events, referrals, online and print communications, and outreach to businesses and organizations. The Counselor must demonstrate an ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with team members, faculty, students, alumni, administrators and staff.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Meet inquiry and conversion goals established by the University.
  • Develop an individual enrollment pipeline plan consistent with the University’s Strategic Enrollment Plan for each semester as well as participating in the continuous updating of team outreach plans.
  • Identify internal resources that optimize the visibility and presence of the University among diverse audiences and communities for enrollment purposes.
  • Provide outstanding customer service to enroll students to the University’s programs.
  • Develop and maintain the data in Salesforce including prospects through enrollment.
  • Utilize data in Salesforce to manage individual enrollment workflow throughout all stages of the enrollment funnel.
  • Uphold a high level of customer service to students. Utilize phone, email, text and other technology to communicate with prospective students in a timely manner.
  • Attend training sessions to receive updated information about new programs, services, educator licensure requirements, etc.
  • Participate in events, information sessions, orientations, registration events and graduation.
  • Provide timely feedback (through systematic and periodic reports) to stakeholders regarding market needs, and challenges faced when selling the University programs.
  • Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned by the University.

  • Ability to lead enrollment events, information sessions, set appointments and promote the University in a positive manner.

  • Ability to establish relationships with students and determine the correct program fit for students’ career and personal goals and follow them through the registration process.
  • Other duties as assigned.

If you operate a university owned, leased or personal vehicle at any time while performing your duties you must follow all policies and procedures outlined in the Operations Manual. You must have a valid driver’s license and successfully pass the online safe Driving Course and driving record check at time of hire and annually thereafter. Additionally, you must report any driving offense, on or off company time, which causes a loss, suspension, or any other change in your license status. You must report this change within one business day of the offense. You can report this change to the Human Resource Department or your direct supervisor. Failure to do so can lead to disciplinary action, up to and including terminations.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from a four-year University or university, and 5 years or more of sales experience.
  • Strong sales background and people skills preferred, background in customer service, sales, marketing, and higher education are beneficial.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret university procedures, general information, educational and professional publications, synodical procedures, and/or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of staff, faculty, administration, students, families, and/or the public.

Reasoning Ability:

  • Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to appreciate and respect the perspective and needs of varying racial, ethnic, religious and social groups in performing outreach and providing services to prospective and current students.

Computer Skills:

  • Facility with MS Office Suite, social media and marketing via the Internet as a tool.
  • Ability to work within a CRM to manage personal goals and outreach to prospective students.
  • Ability to build relationships with students and determine the correct program fit for students’ career and personal goals and follow them through the enrollment process.
  • Experience working with adult population preferred; Professional attire and personal presentation required daily.
  • Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license.
  • Must successfully pass the online safe Driving Course (within 15 days of hire) and driving record check at time of hire and annually thereafter.
  • Ability to adhere to University policies and procedures.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion and within FERPA and HIPAA guidelines.
