Aviation Maintenance Instructor

Vincennes University is seeking applicants for a full-time teaching position. This is a full-time, year round, non-tenure track position in Aviation Maintenance. Primary responsibilities include teaching courses in our FAA-approved Part 147 program.

Duties and Responsibilities

 

• This position requires an individual who has extensive general aviation knowledge of light and mid-sized piston and turbine engine aircraft. It also requires an individual having a demeanor that fosters a good learning environment for both traditional and non-traditional students. Required and Preferred Qualifications

 

• Airframe and Powerplant A & P license with a minimum of 5 years aircraft maintenance experience.

 

• An associate degree and/or bachelor degree preferred.

 

• A history of working cohesively and cooperatively with the FAA is also required.

 

• General aviation maintenance experience needed.
